Billing & Insurance
Rachel does not accept insurance and is considered an “Out of Network Provider.” Following each session, Rachel will provide you a “superbill” containing all necessary information to apply for insurance reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary by insurance plan.
Referrals
Referrals or prescriptions are not required, as Rachel allows patients to self-refer. Some insurance companies do require prescriptions for reimbursement; in these cases, Rachel will work with your healthcare provider to obtain the appropriate prescription.

What ages do you work with?
Rachel sees patients from birth through age 21. Rachel has extensive experience working with newborns including preemies experiencing bottle feeding difficulties or oral motor deficits, as well as older children and adolescents struggling with picky eating or speech or language delays.

My child didn't qualify for Regional Center/school-based services, can you still work with them?
Absolutely. As a private provider, Rachel is allowed the ability to evaluate and treat children without the confines of specific qualification parameters. Rachel will look at your whole child, their individual needs and parental concerns in order to determine if therapy is appropriate.

Can you work with my child if they get speech therapy services at school?
Yes. Private services can be a wonderful way to support and augment school based services.

Will you collaborate with my child's other therapists?
Yes. Rachel believes in collaborative care as the most effect way to support a child’s learning and development. Rachel will collaborate with Occupational Therapists, ABA Therapists, Physical Therapists, Pediatricians, Dieticians, and/or other members of the child’s healthcare team in order to best support the needs of the whole child.

Do you offer teletherapy?
Rachel does offer telehealth as an alternative to traditional in person therapy. She understands the stress of these times and is happy to adjust therapy to meet the comfort level of the family.

Do you offer free screenings?
While Rachel does not offer free in person screenings, Rachel does offer a complimentary 15 minute phone call to discuss parental concerns and help families determine if a speech or feeding evaluation is warranted.
